About the Conference
The 20th Annual Learning and Teaching Conference brings together colleagues from Middlesex University London, Dubai, Mauritius and our collaborative partners to explore key theme: Co-creating a decolonised curriculum: moving beyond metrics to a dialogue for change.

Core values of Middlesex are embedded within the new Middlesex University Strategy 2031. The conference promotes EDI in the Curriculum through active discussion, the sharing of practice and stimulating innovative approaches to tackling systemic inequalities.

Keynote Speakers
Professor Kalwant Bhopal

Kalwant Bhopal is Professor of Education and Social Justice. She was appointed Professorial Research Fellow from 2017-2020. In January 2020 she became Director of the Centre for Research in Race and Education (CRRE) in the School of Education.
Professor Heidi Safia Mirza
Heidi Safia Mirza is Emeritus Professor of Equality Studies in Education at UCL Institute of Education and Visiting Professor of Race, Faith and Culture at Goldsmith’s College and the London School of Economics.
